La Caņada Flintridge, Calif., December 5, 2007 - The Allen Lund Company and M & M West Coast Produce, Inc. have teamed up with Salinas Valley growers for a second consecutive year to donate a truckload of fresh produce to Navidad en el Barrio, a non-profit organization that provides meals to over 25,000 families at or below the poverty level throughout Southern California at Christmas.
The produce will be loaded in Yuma, Ariz. and El Centro, Calif. with delivery to Los Angeles where food baskets will be assembled and delivered to agencies throughout Southern California.
The Salinas growers joining the Allen Lund Company and M & M West Coast Produce, are River Ranch Fresh Foods, Mills Family Farms, Fresh Kist Produce, Church Brothers, Duda Farm Fresh Foods, and Taylor Farms of California. |
