Mobile App Privacy Policy (Purpose and Scope)
We take the privacy of our users seriously and this Policy is intended to inform you of the types of information we collect and how we use it. By installing the CW Mobile App, you hereby consent to Allen Lund Company’s (“Company”) collection, use and disclosure of certain data which may, under some jurisdictions, be considered personal data.
SMS Messaging and Texting Policy
We may communicate via App Notifications with independently contracted carriers, through use of third party service provider "Firebase Cloud Messaging". The Messaging Program allows users to receive mobile messages. This Privacy Policy applies to your participation in the Program, and by participating in the Messaging Program you agree to receive mobile messages from CW App, including, without limitation, messages via App Notification at the phone you have provided relating to notifications and communications with independently contracted carrier in connection with your business.
We collect the following types of information through the CW App:
The geolocation of the mobile device (Latitude and Longitude) on which this app is installed. The foregoing location data is collected beginning when the user clicks on the "Start Button" of a Load and continues through delivery of the Load. We use this location data to track the location of goods being transported (Life of a Load). The user will need to enable Location Services on the user’s device for the app to function. The forgoing location data is also collected when user clicks on Fast Pass and POD buttons.
For diagnostic purposes, we also collect the make, model and Operating system of the phone. Data like Email Address, Phone Number and Name are not collected by CW Mobile App. We also collect App Usage information, such as the features of the App you use and the length of time you spend using the App.
Security of Collected Data and Sharing of Data
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information. We do not store any personal information about the app in our systems. Your data is not disclosed, shared or sold to any entity except we share your geolocation data with shipper’s and their designees. You may “opt out” of our sharing your geolocation data with third parties on certain loads (in which case we will only share your city by city progress). Obtain written confirmation from one of our transportation brokers to confirm if you may “opt out” of geolocation sharing on a particular load. By proceeding, and picking up a load, you agree to the collection and sharing of your geolocation or city by city progress as applicable, for the life of the load. You have the right to request deletion of your geolocation data. Email [email protected] to request deletion of your geolocation data.
Your Choices
You may choose to stop sharing your location at any time by contacting the company or by adjusting the settings on your device to stop the collection of location information. You may also choose to uninstall the Mobile App any time. In the event you do decide to stop sharing this information with CW App, the Customer will no longer have access to accurate and up to date tracking information.
