Office Story
Established in 2003 in North Vancouver, BC, United World Transportation was acquired by ALC in April 2023. Steve Baker and Jim Brister founded the company with a focus on developing into a provider of innovative solutions within the refrigerated produce industry that has led to long-term relationships with customers and carriers. Adhering to their core values of community, character, and capability, they achieve their purpose of providing peace of mind.
Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC)
For the second year in a row, our office partnered with DEWC, donating clothing, toiletries, and other essentials to support their mission to provide a safe environment for women through meals, advocacy, and counseling.
Union Gospel Mission Women & Families Centre
The Union Gospel Mission provides a comprehensive range of programs and services to support people across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and Vancouver Island as they rebuild their lives. Our team donated baby items, including diapers, wipes, and shampoo, to their downtown Vancouver location.
Boys and Girls Club
The ALC Vancouver, BC office visited two Boys and Girls Club locations, volunteering for two days in after-school programs and donating funds for snacks including juice boxes, cheese sticks, Ritz cracker sandwiches, and bananas during their visits.
