Allen Lund Company Welcomes New Director of Perishable Logistics
La Cañada Flintridge Calif., October 9, 2019: The Allen Lund Company welcomes their new Director of Perishable Logistics Andy Shoemaker. Shoemakers' role will be identifying and nurturing produce business growth opportunities for ALC. Andy will be an invaluable asset for Allen Lund Company for his industry expertise.
“We are excited to have someone with Andy’s experience come to work for us. The produce business is paramount to our success and our expectation is that Andy will help grow this segment for us with multiple shippers,” said Edward Lund President of Allen Lund Company.
Shoemaker has more than 30 years of experience as a sales and marketing leader in the food business. His expertise is foodservice national account development, contracting, market share, and branding as well as a key contributor in developing and implementing strategies to build a multi-billion world-class produce supplier.
Bob Rose, VP of Produce Sales commented, “I couldn’t be happier to add Andy Shoemaker as our Director of Perishable Logistics to the Allen Lund family. Allen Lund began his journey hauling produce across the USA. Our core business today centers around the cold chain and keeping our customers fulfilled. Andy has been in all aspects of the produce business with most of his time spent with Taylor Farms. He brings a unique perspective to ALC as he understands what our customers go through on a daily, weekly, yearly basis. Allen Lund Company Announces Indianapolis Office
La Cañada Flintridge Calif., April 3, 2019: Allen Lund Company is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Indianapolis, Indiana. The office will be lead by Trent Roberts. A 1998 Graduate of Indiana State University with a degree in Technology MGMT, Trent worked for his national fraternity (Sigma Phi Epsilon) upon graduation. He began his career in Logistics in 2010 working for a logistics firm in Indianapolis, IN as the director of sales.
Executive Vice President of Sales and Branch Operations, Jim McGuire commented, "We are excited Trent will be joining our team as the manager of our newest office in Indianapolis. Trent comes to us with many years of experience and we are confident he will build a strong team in a city with so much opportunity."
Trent added, "I believe the Indianapolis office will be successful based on our ability and desire to build relationships with business partners and the established ALC offices. Personally, I am proud to be a part of such a well-respected company and look forward to making Indianapolis successful."

Allen Lund Company Wins "Challenger Carrier of the Year" and "Summer Sizzle Challenge" from Coca-Cola
La Cañada Flintridge California - The Allen Lund Company is excited to be awarded Coca-Cola's 2015 Challenger Carrier of the Year award, and placing first in their Summer Sizzle Challenge. The Challenger Carrier of the Year award is determined by VA score, how many loads moved, and feedback from surveys. The Summer Sizzle Challenge is determined by overall service levels, and load volume in a 16 week period from May to August.
"We are honored to be recognized by Coca-Cola as Challenger Carrier of the Year for 2015. It is very fulfilling to see our hard work acknowledged and I'm very proud of everyone at ALC who works so hard on this account," stated Eddie Lund, Vice President of Sales & Branch Operations. "We are very grateful to Coca-Cola for being a great business partner and for caring enough to recognize us in this way."
