The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) International Roadcheck is scheduled this year from May 12 to May 14.

Vehicles and drivers will be reviewed at weigh/inspections stations, temporary sites, and mobile patrols. A 37-step procedure (North American Standard Level I Inspection) will be followed, with two areas of emphasis: the driver’s accurate ELD entries and the proper securement of the vehicle’s load.

Driver Focus Area – ELD Tampering

Inspectors will check the driver’s record of duty status, paying special attention to entries to ensure there is no ELD meddling. Failure to keep proper records was the second most-cited violation in 2025.

Vehicle Focus Area – Cargo Securement

Vehicle cargo securement measures will be reviewed to ensure roads and drivers are kept safe. Drivers should follow standard practices to ensure everything is secure and properly stored.
